A case represents a single disclosure obligation, for example one DSAR, one FOI request, or one legal or regulatory matter. This reflects how disclosure work is actually managed in practice and avoids artificial limits that break down under real-world volumes.

Each case includes:

  • One secure case container
  • Up to 40GB of storage
  • Unlimited documents within the case
  • One user included
  • Full access to document redaction, review, and audit features

*A case runs for one calendar month from the date the case is created. Additional months can be added where a matter remains active. Does not include video redaction. All prices exclusive of VAT.

A Redaktr case is a controlled workspace designed to evidence the integrity of your disclosure process.

Within a case, you can ingest thousands of documents of mixed formats, review and redact them iteratively, and export disclosure-ready outputs, all while maintaining a complete record of decisions and actions.

This model mirrors how DSARs, FOI requests, and disclosure matters are handled operationally and legally. It avoids the false economy of document-count pricing, which becomes meaningless once volumes exceed a few hundred files.

Document-based pricing models assume that redaction is a clerical task. In regulated environments, it is not.

A typical DSAR or FOI response may involve several thousand documents, including emails, attachments, scanned records, and derived files. Pricing by document count either forces artificial constraints or masks the true cost once realistic volumes are reached.

Redaktr is designed for situations where:

  • disclosure decisions must be reasoned and proportionate,
  • third-party data must be protected,
  • exemptions must be applied consistently,
  • and outcomes may later be scrutinised by regulators, tribunals, or courts.

Case-based pricing aligns cost with responsibility, risk, and accountability.

Every Redaktr case maintains a full audit trail of activity, including document access, redaction actions, and user involvement.

This allows organisations to demonstrate:

  • that documents were reviewed systematically,
  • that redactions were applied deliberately, not automatically,
  • that access was controlled and appropriate,
  • and that disclosure decisions were made within a governed process.

For many organisations, this audit capability is as important as the redaction itself. It provides evidence of compliance, supports internal governance, and reduces exposure if a response is challenged.

The pricing reflects this focus on defensibility rather than volume processing.

The base price includes one user per case. Additional users and expanded storage can be added where required. These options are intended for collaborative review or extended matters and are priced transparently.

Details are available on request, as requirements vary significantly between organisations.
